Laura Heine

Laura Heine's fabric collections abound with bold, large-scale designs based on her watercolor art. Laura is an award-winning quilt artist with her intricate free-motion thread work that fuses colorful thread embellishment, fabric, fusible appliqué and piecework into amazing quilts.

Laura's artistic journey started 20 years ago when she made her first baby quilt, and she has not stopped ever since. In 1994, Laura opened Fiberworks, a quilt shop in Billings, Montana. Laura teaches locally and nationally, showing students what has worked for her and encouraging them to express their own concepts and creativity in their quilting.
