Dee Ann Lange

Dee Ann Lange has never thought of being anything but an artist. Growing up in the beautiful, rugged terrain of Colorado, she was surrounded by creative parents and extended family who encouraged her artistic pursuits. She was never without pens, pencils and sketchpad.

As Dee Ann prepared for college, her mother suggested she pursue commercial art; advice that started her down the rewarding path she continues on today. In 1991, after graduating with a BFA in advertising design from Colorado State University, Dee Ann worked for several advertising agencies throughout Saint Louis, Missouri before launching her own company, Dog Gone Creative, LLC. The company has rapidly grown since 1996 in clients and creative services.

Quilting and fabric design came into Dee Ann's picture a few years later. After receiving a quilt as a gift in 1993 she decided to give quilting a try, and found it to be enormously satisfying! Soon she was quilting for profit as well as for fun and began long arm quilting in 2007. After making a prototype quilt for a fabric designer she was inspired to design her own fabrics. Dee Ann's debut RJR collection Spring Eternal reflects her unique style: modern, contemporary, dimensional, and reflective.

Dee Ann has a keen eye for seeing beyond the surface and into the colors, textures, light and design at the heart of an object. There she finds a deep appreciation for the artist who designed and made it. She sees and feels her craft as much with her heart as with her eyes and hands. Because of that heart she cultivates and nurtures a world and style all her own and finds inspiration in everything she sees, from wallpaper and shoes to nature and dreams.

Dee Ann resides in Kirkwood, Missouri with her husband and Yellow Labrador Retriever. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, as well as knitting, skiing, walking, cooking, baking, and travelling back to scenic Colorado whenever possible.
