RICK COHAN

Richard Cohan graduated from the University of Arizona with a Masters Degree in Business Administration. He began his career in textiles as a representative for several fabric companies. He soon branched out on a quest for new prospects, to find someone to whom he would enjoy selling. While visiting fabric retailers, Rick met a quilt shop owner who told him about the high demand for cotton fabrics for quilting. Armed with a list of quilt shops, his interest in supplying 100% cotton quilting fabrics had begun. With this newfound customer base, the family agreed in 1978 to launch the company, and RJR Fabrics was born. With his ability to listen and respond to the market with flexibility and ingenuity, Rick has led RJR to become one of the world's leading manufacturers of high-quality fabrics for quilting.
